I live in Turkey. in Izmir on the west. It is hot now a days. But in the towns it is not as hot as itis in Big Cities. like Izmir. Sun heat the concrete cities more than it do in green towns around. But for the east and north of Anatolia it is cooler. Foods are Mediterneal. Olive oil. Fish. Garlic tomatoes onion.. ..etc. It is light and healthy. Turkish food are definitelly better than Greek and Italian. and the others. I can give you some tip for cooking. i am amazingly good cook. Except for the cookeries.

I don't live in Turkey, but I have recently been there. It was 31 degrees C in June. The food is incredible - very healthy and tasty. The salads, the yoghurts, cheeses, fruit, grilled meats - all good. Just go easy on the bread (white, yeast, but yummy) and the desserts (particularly baklava) and you won't gain too much weight. And be sure to try the fish dishes. In general, though, the food in Turkey is simply fantastic. I still dream of the delicious and sweet watermelon slices eaten with soft white, slightly salty cheese for breakfast ... sigh .... A word of advice - if you see someone selling shellfish at the side of the street, don't buy. You don't know how long those fish (usually mussels) have been sitting there in the sun, and they may be turning or have turned and are no longer safe to eat. You could get a bad case of food poisoning.

I'd really love to visit those two countries, they have such interesting histories and cultures. I'd think they would have a mediterranean climate - mild winters, warm summers. I don't know of anything that would make them unhealthy.
