I'm getting engaged to a Turkish man & will probably live in Turkey. My family's in the US. Am I a bad person?
I've been living in Istanbul for about a year and a half and will probably be getting engaged soon. My family lives in the US and haven't been able to visit me here as money is tight. I miss them and even though I love my boyfriend, I feel a certain amount of guilt regarding staying in Turkey. If we get married and start a family, it will most likely be in Turkey. How can I get over my guilt about living here? I always wanted to be close to my family once I was married with children, but I do think our life will be better here. :(

It's your life, you need to do what makes you happy. You can work a little more and fly your parents to Turkey. Your family will always be there for you. Don't leave the man that you truly love or you will really regret it. If you have some doubts about your relationship on other levels, back out and go home.

you're a grown up person, you can decide what's better for u. Parents are always precious resources we have but we're gonna be parents, too.U don't have to be close to them to show them U love them, just remember their important days and call them every now and then.

You should live in whichever place is going to make YOU happier. Don't forget your past, but live for the future.
