is it possible for my partner to come and live in the uk from turkey

is it possible for my partner to come and live in the uk from turkey?
i am wanting some advice on how and if i can apply for my partner to live in england.he lives in turkey and we want to get married and live here together but i dont no if he is allowed.does he have to show that he can support him self even if he is going to live with me and how long would it take for his application to go through.any advice most welcome thanks

invite him over from turkey...get pregnant and he will get resisdence in the UK its what alot of people do and it has to work cuz your pregnant

I think you should ask it to an English lawyer. I dont belive you can find your answer here.. @~* fairy *~ , being pregnant only for this situation is not fair and not ethical..Im sure if they both decided to live together in U.K. there are lots of other else options.

Don't get pregnant. That has to be the single most stupid thing you could do right now! Basically you just have to follow the procedure laid out by the UK Home Office dept to obtaining a visa and for right for him to reside on the UK. bla bla is absolutely correct. Your biggest headache is proving to an entry clearance officer that your fiancee does not want to come to the Uk for financial reasons. Also you will need to prove at a very difficult interview that it is a serious relationship. do be prepared for a visa application refusal, as many people are refused a visa for no real apparant reason. Also why not live in Turkey given the sate of the UK these days and the cost of visas etc?
