you know people in northwest iran are azeri turks. i know so many who sweeping in and out of Turkey very frequently or live in Turkey. but could they acquire the citizenship? what are the requirements and stages?

1. Applicants must have a valid 6-month-long-residence permit from the date of application. If applicant have a permit for a shorter period of time, then he/she must get it extended before the application. 2. Applicant must prove his/her willing with the attitudes. 3. yes they can, http://www.ofistercume.com/index.php/component/content/article/29-resmi-lemler/123-turkish-citizenship-application-requirements.html azeri turks you talk about, look like they work illegally. cause georgians, armenians and bulgarians are doing the same as well. they renew the visa at gates twice a year. maybe they get visa, but if they did they wouldnt enter to turkey again twice a year. i dont know if it counts for 5 years residence. 5 years of residence is required for foreigners, and 2 years is required for ppl of turkish origin (azeris, north cypriots, and other turkish republic citizens..) i think staying with resident permit counts for 2 years. the 5 year rule is the same in every country as i know
