Congratulations! I think Turkish are wonderful and friendly people. Read about them as much as you can. Learn history of Ataturk. Good luck! Turkish is not so difficult as English.

Well, if my cousin who is working with the Chinese has learned Chinese, I'm sure you can learn Turkish, too. Chinese and Turkish have different structures. Turkish uses lots of suffixes, but Chinese not. Still, there are many Chinamen doing business here and some who stay have learned Turkish to trade with Turks. Generally people involved in international trade speak English. Turks are generally friendly towards foreigners, but I haven't spoken to Chinamen living here and knowing how reserved Chinese are, well, I can't say how you will get along. But you won't face hostility, that's for sure. Good luck. If you need specific information, just ask in this section and lots of people will help you.

Hello there. Turkish isn't really hard to learn. I'm from a Turkish family (but live in Holland), and recently my aunt married to a dutch guy. He couldn't speak any Turkish at all, but now he can keep up with conversations and talk and understand Turkish very good. Some things might be hard to learn ofcourse, but that's with every languages, right? Also, Turkish people are very friendly (not saying that only because I'm Turkish) to foreigngers, so don't worry that they will be closeminded when it comes to Chinese people, they won't :)

You may start by learning that is is called "Turkish" not Turkey language and no, Turkish is certainly not easy to learn. Btw Turks are very friendly to the Asians in general.

Turkish people are friendly and this will maintain as long as you respect our culture. Learning Turkish helps because not everyone speaks English. I think Turkish pronunciation would be difficult for the Chinese tongue but it depends. If you are Uyghur it would be easy for you.

it is systematic, no irregular verbs, no irregular plurals, there are solid grammar rules, you may only get confused because it is full of suffixes to add meanings to a statement, this also results in various vocabulary from just know the root of a word(this is what I've noticed, from foreigners I personally knew) I would guess that it would be easy to learn Turkish, compared to western languages with idiotic rules of grammar, but since its my mother tongue I cant tell for sure. ;) let me give an example of how suffixes extensively used in Turkish eklediÄŸinizde (a random word but 4-5 suffixes are the max limit, most words have 2-4 suffixes added to the root), ekle=to add ekledi=added eklediÄŸiniz=you added eklediÄŸinizde=once you have added the order and usage of suffixes can be confusing at first to foreigners but as I said before, there are rules of grammar, not as much as in English[ I think] in Turkey people are very friendly to all foreigners
